HOME / About Us
Growing up immersed in the rhythms of farm life, I knew all too well the hard work that shaped our days and seasons. It was this labor-intensive lifestyle that led me to pursue higher education, vowing never to return to farming. Yet life's journey is full of unexpected turns. I explored various careers, continually seeking my place across different industries until 2007, when everything changed profoundly.
That year, my mother suffered a major stroke, leaving her paralyzed on her right side. My pursuit of a career took a backseat as I dove into understanding the healing power of food as medicine. Remarkably, within one month of applying nutritional changes, my mother was revived with newfound energy and joy, living another blessed year surrounded by family. Her recovery deeply transformed my view on health and the life-giving power of our earth's produce.
After my mother's passing, I was inexplicably drawn back to farming. I initiated the city backyard farming project by applying for the NCR-SARE Farmer Grant, which laid the groundwork for transforming urban spaces into rich, vegetable-laden gardens. This passion resurfaced with urgency in 2010, when my youngest daughter faced the severe challenge of intractable epilepsy. Her illness demanded a holistic approach as we spent a year detoxifying her body, achieving over two years of seizure-free living.
A setback in 2014 found her in critical condition, placed in an induced coma. In a moment of crisis, a call from a naturopathic doctor suggested a mineral treatment which pulled her back from the brink, rekindling hope. This event was pivotal, redirecting my life's purpose toward restoring her health and sparking my dedication to sustainable farming.
In 2022, a chance encounter at a bookstore introduced me to the Reams Biological Theory of Ionization (RBTI), an approach that resonated deeply with my journey. By understanding the precise chemistry of the soil and body, RBTI allows me to tailor the food we grow—restoring vitality and health not just to plants, but to the people who rely on them. Through RBTI, we've dramatically reduced my daughter's seizures from over 30 a day to just a handful, living proof of the successful application of this method.
Today, my path has come full circle. I farm not just with the intent to cultivate, but to heal. My work is a testament to resilience and the belief that the earth holds profound healing potential—when nurtured with knowledge and care.
RBTI in Agriculture: Cultivating Vitality
At Nature's Holistic Farm, we harness the Reams Biological Theory of Ionization (RBTI) to precisely cultivate nutrient-rich produce and maintain soil health. RBTI in agriculture emphasizes assessing the soil's energetic and mineral balance rather than focusing solely on traditional nutrient analysis.
Comprehensive Soil Testing:
Our process begins with annual soil tests to identify which minerals are deficient, allowing us to understand precise amendments needed for optimal soil composition. These tests help us establish a foundational understanding of the soil's mineral profile and its ability to support plant growth effectively.
Weekly Energy-Level Monitoring:
Once the foundational mineral needs are addressed, we conduct weekly tests to evaluate the soil's energy levels. This involves using advanced tools like refractometers and electrical conductivity meters to measure pH, Brix (sugar content and vitality), and other energy indicators in the soil. These assessments are crucial as they inform us about the soil's ionic balance and overall vitality, helping us make timely adjustments throughout the growing season.
Nutrient Application Strategically Timed:
Understanding the soil’s energy enables us to apply nutrients and minerals at the most beneficial times, optimizing absorption and utilization by the plants. This approach aims to maintain high levels of energy within the soil, supporting robust and resilient plant growth.
Dynamic and Responsive Farming Practices:
By closely monitoring these energy levels, we can dynamically respond to the soil's needs, enabling more sustainable farming practices. This ensures not only the health of our crops but also of the entire farm ecosystem, promoting biodiversity and reducing dependency on chemical fertilizers.
RBTI helps us view the soil as a living entity, where balanced energy and nutrients foster a healthier and more productive agricultural environment. With this holistic approach, we deliver produce that supports both your wellbeing and the planet’s health.
Conservation Efforts
Our farm employs organically grown practices, focusing on enhancing soil health without the use of synthetic inputs. Although we're not organically certified, our high-quality minerals naturally strengthen plant resilience, resulting in only minimal pest management requirements. Over the past four years, we have transformed urban land into thriving, nutrient-rich soil sourced entirely from compost. Our grafted fruit orchard, set to produce in the future, exemplifies our dedication to sustainable and eco-friendly farming practices.
Nature's Holistic Farm LLC is not a place to find a medical diagnosis.
